New Silent Hill Patch Is Breaking The Game, But A Fix Is On The Way

Silent Hill 2 tells the story of a fundamentally broken man, but according to players, a recent patch unfortunately appears to have broken the game itself.

Patch 1.04 was meant to improve Silent Hill 2’s performance on Steam Deck, prevent crashes on PlayStation 5, and address a few of the game’s other unintended flaws. Players will bump into several NPCs while exploring it (including Eddie and Angela), and will also be faced with a couple of boss fights. The Labyrinth also contains a few puzzles for players to solve, and these puzzles are where the problem lies. Upon completing a puzzle that involves rotating a cube, the cube will then disintegrate, allowing players to continue their journey. But as of the 1.04 patch, the cube is no longer disintegrating for some players, leaving them unable to progress.
