If you want the most storage space for the best price, go for the Kingston DataTraveler, especially since it supports read speeds of up to 200MB/s. I also really like the Samsung Fit Plus because it’s USB 3.1 with read speeds of up to 300MB/s, and it’s rather affordable.

Lexar 512GB JumpDrive P30 – $55 (Save $35)
Samsung BAR Plus, 512GB – $65 (Save $15)

ADATA Elite UE800, 1TB – $70 (Save $30)
Move Speed YID, 2TB – $148 (Save $52)
These are some awesome discounts across large storage flash drives! If you want the best price for the most storage, then getting the Move Speed YID makes perfect sense. If you’d rather go for a smaller capacity but faster read/write speeds, you may want to go for the Kingston DataTraveler Max.
While the SanDisk Extreme Pro discount looks great on paper, the top price we’ve actually seen in the past year has been $170. So while the discount is still impressive, and we’d buy this drive ourselves, it’s not as large as Amazon wants us to think.

Flash drive deals FAQ
How do I know a Prime Day deal on USB flash drives is good?
To figure out whether a Prime Day deal on thumb drives is good or not, you should compare the discounted price to the regular retail price. You should also check out the product’s reviews for opinions on reliability and quality. Of course, you could also check out the price history for the flash drive you want, as there are multiple platforms available online. Don’t worry, though, because we did that for you!
What capacity do I need in a USB flash drive?
Figuring out what capacity you need in a USB flash drive depends on what you’ll use it for. If you’re going to store basic documents and small files, you can “get away” with buying a 64GB version. If you plan on storing pictures, video, or software, you can go up to 512GB, just so you don’t have to worry about it anytime soon.
Should you need to transfer large datasets, video projects or media libraries, the larger storage option, the better.
What features should I look for in a USB flash drive?
When looking for a thumb drive, you need to consider what capacity you need, as well as what you’ll use it for. You should also look for USB 3.0 and above for faster read/write speeds.
Another thing your new flash drive should have is durability, so look for what materials they are made of, as aluminum casings will provide robust protection against bumps and drops.
If you’re going to use the flash drive to move sensitive files around, you may also want to look into getting one that offers encryption. Some thumb drives will offer 128-bit AES encryption, while others will offer 256-bit. Drives that offer the 256-bit encryption options are better protected, as the key can be more complicated, but 128-bit encryption will do just fine as well. Both encryption standards are considered to be practically impossible to crack.
