New iPad Pro Looks Like Apple’s Best And Thinnest Gaming Console Yet
Apple has revealed the newest models in its flagship iPad Pro line: powerful new tablets that combine powerful hardware with a very slim form factor. The most obvious upgrade here is in the display, as Apple has shifted to an OLED screen for its 2024 iPad Pros, which will be available as 13 and 11-inch tablets. The display can reach 1,000 nits of peak full-screen brightness and maxes out at 1,600 nits for HDR content.
The front-facing camera is now in the landscape position, making it much more convenient to take video calls with this device. Under the OLED hood is a base storage capacity of 256GB and these tablets are powered by Apple’s M4 chip, with Apple claiming that it’ll be up to 50% faster than the M2 chip used in the previous-gen iPad Pro.
Apple has been giving its users more AAA games to play—Resident Evil Village and Death Stranding: Director’s Cut are some of the high-profile games available on select devices–Apple says the M4 chip can deliver the same performance as the M2 chip while using just half the power(via The Verge).
