Sound the alarm, the Lego UCS Millennium Falcon just hit its lowest price

If you’re looking for the ultimate Star Wars set, it’s likely that you’ve drooled over the Lego UCS Millennium Falcon at some point… but the price may have put you off. That’s why the kit dropping to its lowest ever price is a big deal. Literally.

Rather than beating around the bush, let’s get to it: you can currently get the Lego UCS Millennium Falcon for £525 at Argos instead of £735, which is a discount of £210 all in. According to price-matching software, it’s literally never been cheaper before now.

Yes, it’s still a good chunk of money. But in all honesty, that’s a much better offer than it may seem at face value. This is a hyper-popular kit that very rarely gets such a steep discount, and before now, its lowest point was £536. We haven’t seen this kind of bargain before, and I hadn’t anticipated it happening until this month’s Black Friday Lego deals at the very least.

Should you buy the Lego UCS Millennium Falcon?

So, is it actually worth grabbing this monster of a kit? I can say, without any hesitation, hell yes – with a couple of caveats.

For starters, this is unequivocally one of the best Lego sets. As mentioned in our Lego UCS Millennium Falcon review, “not since the ship first appeared on our screens in 1977 has the awe of the Millennium Falcon been recaptured until this UCS version. In fact, it’s the high point of the entire Star Wars Lego saga.” It’s big, but that size allows for an incredibly detailed interior and exterior packed with references. The common area where Chewie and R2-D2 played Dejarik digital chess. Those bat-things from Empire Strikes Back. The original radar dish, or the new one from Rise of Skywalker. The list goes on.

There’s a small army of minifigures pulled from each era of the Falcon’s history as well, meaning you can crew it with characters from Rey to Han Solo. (Though I still think it’s really weird that Lando hasn’t been included – what gives?)

What about the negatives, then? Well, Lando’s omission aside, it mainly comes down to display space. This thing is absolutely huge (8in high, 33in long, and 23in wide), so it’s worth measuring your space first to make doubly sure you can actually fit it.

Because it’s still fairly pricey, I’d also have a think about whether you’d be happy with the smaller but no less excellent Lego Millennium Falcon (75375). Yes, I know, I’m doing the ‘dad’ thing. But honestly, it’s worth at least considering.

No matter what, move quickly. Seeing as this offer features one of the best Lego Star Wars sets, it probably won’t last long.
