A Quiet Place Game Has Mic Detection That Alerts In-Game Aliens With Your Noises

As recently as A Quiet Place: Day One earlier this year, Paramount’s film franchise has established the rules for the aliens in its world. The invaders can’t see, but they can hear very well. Even the slightest sound can doom the remaining humans on Earth. That idea is being carried forward in A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead, an upcoming video game. Not only do players have to worry about keeping quiet in-game, they will also have to stay as silent as possible if the mic is left on.

Saber Interactive and Stormind Games have released a new live-action trailer that demonstrates The Road Ahead’s mic detection feature. This is an optional setting, and gamers can turn it off. But if players want to go full method when immersed in the game, then even the slightest sound in your room could give away your position to the aliens. That didn’t work out so well for the poor guy in this trailer.

As you might imagine, The Road Ahead favors stealth and evasion over attempting to fight the alien invaders. The truth is that Earth is their world now, and humanity is an endangered species on their own planet. Once the aliens pick up on a target, even running away doesn’t do much to deter them from relentlessly pursuing any survivors.
