NFL QB Thanks Trolls For Landing Him A Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 Partnership

Arizona Cardinals Quarterback Kyler Murray has announced a partnership with Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, despite previously being criticized by fans who believed his love of the shooter was impacting his on-field performance. The partnership comes alongside a new Replacer ad, which features the Replacer taking a press conference for Murray.

Murray announced the partnership deal on Twitter, writing, “To the trolls who memed me into a bag, thank you!” Murray is referring to previous criticism he received about playing Call of Duty too much, which came after he signed a new contract with an “independent study” clause, which was later removed. The clause stated Murray must spend four hours a week focused on studying football film, without other distractions, something that is relatively unheard of for starting quarterbacks in the NFL.

After the contract clause was put in the public spotlight, rumors circulated that it was due to Murray playing too much Call of Duty. This led to fans making fun of Murray, even doing breakdowns of his performances on double XP weekends compared to his usual stats. The new ad even references this, with the YouTube description reading “No need to wait for a double XP weekend when you have The Replacer.”
