Original Horizon Zero Dawn Has Been Delisted On PC Ahead Of The Remaster

During the most recent State of Play, Sony announced that Horizon Zero Dawn is getting a remaster for PS5 and PC. Sony subsequently doubled the price of the game’s PS4 version. Now, Sony has delisted the original Horizon Zero Dawn from Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Via IGN, Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition still has a page on Steam, but it’s unavailable for purchase and it simply offers fans links to buy Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered or the game’s sequel, Horizon Forbidden West. The listing for Zero Dawn’s remastered also reveals that the game will require a PSN connection. That’s a big reason why God of War Ragnarok was review-bombed by players a few weeks ago. Sony’s insistence on adding that requirement has proven to be very unpopular among some segment of the audience, especially when applied to single-player games.

Visually, Zero Dawn has been given an overhaul to make it more comparable to Forbidden West. The character models have been upgraded, and new textures and shades have been added as well. Additionally, Zero Dawn Remastered has over 10 hours of newly recorded mo-cap performances.
