The Nvidia App will officially swallow GeForce Experience soon

Nvidia has been pushing its new app — creatively called the Nvidia App — since February of this year. Nvidia says it “intends to migrate all remaining GeForce Experience users to the new Nvidia App when it exits beta before the end of the year.” So if you’ve been resisting the switch to the new beta, it might be time to give up that particular ghost.

In addition to that news, Nvidia’s blog post outlines a host of new features for the app. G-Sync controls can now be accessed in the System tab, eliminating the confusing settings panel found deep in the bowels of Windows. You can also now apply RTX HDR visuals to games that are stretched across multiple monitors.

Nvidia says it has incorporated user feedback to add “sticky” game sorting that persists after the app is closed, plus a quicker way to apply the optimal graphics settings to individual games.

There’s also a new driver rollback feature, which will allow you to quickly uninstall a driver you just installed via the Nvidia App. Note that this feature does not work for drivers installed via GeForce Experience (which can still run concurrently with the Nvidia App) or drivers manually downloaded and installed from Nvidia’s website.
