This Editors’ Choice ultrawide gaming monitor is only $250 today

Gigabyte’s GS34WQC 34-inch gaming monitor is one of our favorite budget picks here at PCWorld. It’s already a good deal at its retail price of $400, and it often goes on sale for around $300.

But today, the price has never been better thanks to this Newegg deal that’s offering the ultimate bang for your buck: grab this Gigabyte ultrawide monitor for just $250 right now.

The GS34WQC uses a semi-standard 3440×1440 resolution on its curved panel. That’s basically a 27-inch 1440p screen widened out to 34 inches with a cinematic 21:9 ultrawide aspect ratio.

The monitor uses a VA panel with a fast refresh rate of 120Hz (up to 135Hz with overclocking) and 1ms of response time. VA panels are nice and bright for gaming, though not the best for color-accurate media work. (But at this price point, beggars can’t be choosers.) AMD FreeSync is supported for keeping things smooth in advanced games.

It’s fairly basic in terms of extras, with no RGB bling or extra USB ports, but it does include two HDMI inputs and DisplayPort for handling multiple PCs or gaming consoles. A headphone jack for your headset rounds it out, and you can mount the screen on a standard VESA monitor arm.
