Get Dell’s 4K IPS monitor for the unbeatable price of $200

Dell is my go-to pick for reliable, affordable monitors with panels that are good enough for graphics work. In fact, I have two of them sitting on my desk right now and they’re serving me well.

If you want to maximize your bang-for-buck in terms of resolution, you can’t do better than this 27-inch 4K monitor. Normally $300, Amazon is selling it for just $200 today.

The Dell S2721QS is a pretty standard office-style display, but it’s the 4K resolution that makes it special. At 3840×2160, it’s four times as dense as a standard 27-inch monitor, and has more than twice the pixels of a 1440p display. On top of that, the IPS panel gives it high color accuracy, suitable for watching movies, working on photos, or editing videos.

With a regular 60Hz refresh rate, it’s no gaming monitor. Nor does it come with extras like USB-C — or any USB ports at all, for that matter. But it’s a great standard display (I’m using the 1440p version of the same model myself) and it supports DisplayPort, double HDMI, and standard VESA mounting for monitor arms.

Amazon is selling this monitor at the lowest price we’ve seen for a 4K display in a long time. If it goes out of stock, you can also get it on Dell’s online store for a slightly-less-fantastic $230.
