Game Of Thrones Spin-Off A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms Adds New Cast Members
Before the House of the Dragon Season 2 finale, HBO and Max shared the first look at the next Game of Thrones spin-off series, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. That show is already in production, and seven new cast members have signed on for the first season.
Via Variety, Masters of the Air actor Edward Ashley will play Ser Steffon Fossoway, alongside Tom Vaughan-Lawlor as Plummer, Youssef Kerkour as Steely Pate, Danny Webb as Ser Arlan of Pennytree, Shaun Thomas as Raymun Fossoway, and Daniel Monks as Ser Manfred Dondarrion. Henry Ashton, who recently appeared in Netflix’s A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, will co-star as Daeron Targaryen. But this Daeron Targaryen is separate from the character who shares his name in House of the Dragon, as the shows are set roughly a century apart from each other.
The series is based on George R.R. Martin’s Tales of Dunk and Egg novellas, which are set approximately 100 years before his Song of Ice and Fire novels that spawned Game of Thrones. Peter Claffey, will star in the series as Ser Duncan the Tall, while Dexter Sol Ansell will play Egg, Duncan’s squire, who is secretly a member of the Targaryen family.
