Studio Says Humble Layoffs May Impact Its Game’s Development

Squid Shock, the studio behind Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus, has said that updates for the game’s console versions may be delayed due to the sudden closure of its publisher, Humble Games, earlier this month.

The studio relied on Humble for post-launch support, and now needs to find another way to do so. “We are now in a difficult situation when it comes to updating the console ports, as both porting and QA support was tied into our deal Humble,” Squid Shock said in a statement.

“We are actively pursuing all available avenues to allow us to roll out updates to console versions, but we regret to say this may take some time to put in place,” the studio continued. The development team will continue to work on updates for the PC version and assured that they will come to the console versions in the future.
