7 Days To Die 1.0 Update Launches With Discount For Existing Console Owners
Zombie survival game 7 Days to Die is officially out of early access after 12 years of development with its 1.0 update, a milestone that comes with a new price tag and new, current-generation console versions that will require owners of the game’s old, last-generation console version to re-buy the game once more.
Developer The Fun Pimps, however, is offering a 25% discount off the new $45 console edition for those who purchased the last-gen version. Those looking to buy on PlayStation 5 and already digitally own the old PS4 version, the discount should automatically be applied. Those on Xbox Series X|S who previously bought the Xbox One version will need to make sure the discount is active, as it is unclear when Microsoft will make the discount live, according to The Fun Pimps.
The old console version has been delisted from storefronts, though owners will still be able to download and play it should they choose, The Fun Pimps said. That version of the game released in 2016 and received different updates than its PC counterpart, something that won’t be the case for the new console versions.
