Deadpool And Wolverine First Reactions Praise Marvel’s Return To Form
Earlier this week, Deadpool and Wolverine was finally screened for critics across the country, and now the first reactions have come online via social media. Marvel movies, and comic book films in general, tend to be well-received in early screenings by fans of the genre… unless of course the projects in question are spectacularly misfires. Fortunately, the vast majority of the responses to Deadpool and Wolverine are effusive with praise for the film. Even The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon couldn’t resist weighing in on it.
Congrats to all of the amazing minds that came together to make #DeadpoolAndWolverine. I’m proud to say I know a lot of people on that stage. And…I also know Lady Deadpool. #nospoilers pic.twitter.com/HCXPNJrVZB

Current X-Men comic book writer Gail Simone also shared her opinion of the film.
#DeadpoolAndWolverine isn’t just hilarious, it has an emotional kick like a divorced mule.
This is the Deadpool I love, a zip line of snark who also works to see beyond the pain. And It’s the funnest, meanest MCU Wolverine yet.@VancityReynolds & @RealHughJackman own the world. pic.twitter.com/LnEEfkl9uj

A common refrain among the critics is that the film is a tribute to the 20th Century Fox X-Men movies that came before it. The cameos were also mentioned frequently as one of the best parts of the film. But most importantly, almost everyone said that Deadpool and Wolverine is very funny.
