Best Prime Day PS5 console deals
As you can imagine, PS5 console deals have the tendency to be few and far between, even now that Prime Day has officially started. If you’re keen for a console, bookmark this page and check back regularly to see if which new deals have arrived. Until then, here are your best options.
PS5 Slim Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 bundle | $559.99 $549 at Walmart
Save $10 – Walmart has bumped its price up a little, in-line with the same $549 deal that Amazon is offering on this bundle. We’ve seen this go for as low as $528 already this week, so it could be worth waiting to see if a slightly lower price rematerializes.
Buy it if:
✅ You want a smaller console with the same performance
✅ You want Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
✅ You want to play physical games
Don’t buy it if:
❌ You’re looking for a PS5 on the cheap
Price check: Best Buy: OOS | Amazon: $549
Best Prime Day PS5 game deals
Final Fantasy 16 | $49.99 $28.49 at Amazon
Save $21 – Final Fantasy 16 is a triumph of storytelling and spectacle, but it launched amid an absolute barrage of highly anticipated and acclaimed RPGs that you’d be forgiven for missing out on it last year. Granblue Fantasy: Relink | $49.99 $39.99 at Amazon
Save $10 – Here’s one of the most underrated JRPGs of 2024 at its lowest price yet on PS5 thanks to this clutch Prime Day PS5 deal. Back in February. Austin said it was “fast becoming the top contender for my 2024 GOTY,” which is high praise in a year that also brought Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.
Buy it if:
✅ You like Granblue Fantasy but not gacha
✅ You like colorful anime worlds to explore
✅ You like sky island life
Don’t buy it if:
❌ You’re looking for a very unique and different JRPG
Price check: Best Buy: $49.99 | Walmart: $52.01
Assassin’s Creed: Mirage | $49.99 $23.70 at Amazon

Buy it if:
✅ You prefer stealthier games
✅ You still want a little open-world feel
✅ Hidden blade is life
Don’t buy it if:
❌ You want more of a widespread Odyssey vibe
Price check: Best Buy: $24.99 | Walmart: $38.99
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown | $49.99 $29.98 at Amazon
Save $20 – Prince of Persia is almost half-off right now and it could drop slightly lower on Prime Day. Still, if you’re in the mood for an incredible Metroidvania at under $30, now’s your chance.

✅ You’re a returning fan or new to the franchise

Pacific Drive – Deluxe Edition | $39.99 $28.49 at Amazon

✅ You’re after a unique kind of survival game to liven up your catalog

Alone in the Dark | $59.99 $39.99 at Amazon
Save $20 – Alone in the Dark only hit the shelves in March, but it’s now down to $39.99. We suspect it may go even lower on Prime Day itself given its current trajectory, however.
Buy it if:
✅ You’re a psychological horror fan
✅ You’ve got a good gaming headset
✅ You like survival themes
Don’t buy it if:
❌ You want a long experience
Price check: Walmart: $38.94 | Best Buy: $59.99
System Shock | $39.99 $29.99 at Amazon
Save $10 – The remake of System Shock only launched on PS5 recently, and a $10 limited-time deal brings it down to a pretty affordable price. This is the cheapest it’s been so far.
Buy it if:
✅ You like first-person shooters
✅ You want to see what inspired BioShock
✅ You like a challenge
Don’t buy it if:
❌ You prefer third-person action
Price check: Best Buy: $29.99 | Walmart: $43.69
Tekken 8 | $69.99 $34.99 at Walmart
Save $35 – Tekken 8 is half-price at Walmart, so it goes to show that Amazon isn’t the only retailer worth watching. You’ll find the best fighting game of 2024 so far available for $34.99 – that’s the lowest price we’ve seen yet.
Buy it if:
✅ You’re a fan of the series
✅ You’re new to fighting games
✅ You’re a competitive gamer
Don’t buy it if:
❌ You don’t like fighting games
Price check: Amazon: $69.99 | Best Buy: $69.99
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora | $69.99 $47.25 at Amazon
Save $22 – Avatar has been all over the sales recently, first dropping to $50 at the start of the year, then taking a further dive to $40 in April. Unfortunately, this one’s jumped up a little bit from the $42 price we saw yesterday, so it might be worth hanging around to see if it dips lower than this.

✅ You enjoy ranged combat
Don’t buy it if:
❌ You prefer melee gameplay

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 | $69.99 $58.49 at Amazon
Save $11 – This might not be the biggest discount, but if you’re yet to play the latest Insomniac Spidey adventure, this isn’t bad – especially since this is a little lower than prices we saw earlier this week. We’ve seen it drop as low as $49.99 before, so let’s hope it returns to that price again in the next week. Until then, this deal is under the game’s average Amazon price of $67.
Buy it if:
✅ You like Spider-Man games
✅ You’ve played the previous instalments
✅ You like third-person action

Best Prime Day PS5 accessory deals
PS5 Pulse Elite Wireless headset | $149.99 $139.99 at Amazon
Save $10 – The new Pulse Elite has just taken its first major price drop at Amazon, kicking $10 off for a $139.99 sales rate. We haven’t seen this model drop below $140 before, so it’s not a bad early deal to jump on. We’d be surprised if it dropped further.
Buy it if:
✅ You want a first-party headset
✅ You want easy EQ tweaks on console
✅ You want a headset for Portal
Don’t buy it if:
❌ You prioritize audio quality over the above
Price check: Walmart: $139.99 | Best Buy: $149.99
PS5 Pulse 3D Wireless headset | $99.99 $86 at Walmart
Save $13 – We rarely see straight discounts on official Sony PS5 accessories, but you can grab a $13 discount on the Pulse 3D headset at Walmart this week. That’s pretty impressive considering we haven’t seen any savings on these cups in months now.
Buy it if:
✅ You want to make the most of Tempest audio
✅ You want a full PS5 aesthetic
✅ A wireless connection is a priority
Don’t buy it if:
❌ You want the best audio quality possible
Price check: Amazon: $87.90 | Best Buy: $99.99
WD Black SN850X | $129.99 $88.11 at Amazon
Save $41– Given how poor the prices of SSDs have been this year, this deal on one of our favorites isn’t terrible (especially the UK link below). This comes in cheaper than the SN850P and, in our experience, offers better performance. It’s also down just a touch lower than what we’ve already seen this week.
Buy it if:
✅ You want additional storage space
✅ You want fast loading times
✅ 1TB extra is enough
Don’t buy it if:
❌ You don’t need an integrated heatsink
Price check: Best Buy: $103.99 | Walmart: $92.75
Victrix Pro BFG wireless controller | $179.99 $158.45 at Amazon
Save $21 – This is a smaller saving on what we deem the best PS5 pro controller. It’s on the more affordable side compared to its rivals, so when any discounts come by, we welcome the even cheaper price tag. This isn’t a record-low (that would be $152 back in December), but it’s the best we’ve seen this year so far.
Buy it if:
✅ You want extra customization options
✅ You like to swap your components around
✅ You also want a controller for PC
Don’t buy it if:
❌ You won’t make the most of the extras
Price check: Walmart: $158.45 | Best Buy: $179.99
MoKo DualSense keyboard | $28.95 $21.58 at Amazon
Save $7 – It might sound like just a shaving off its full price, but it’s actually the lowest we have ever seen this particular PS5 controller keyboard. It fits onto your DualSense easily to make for easier typing, so it’s a great little accessory to make your life easier while messaging PS buddies.
Buy it if:
✅ You do a lot of messaging on your PS5
✅ You find the joystick spelling method far too fiddly
✅ You long for the days of typing things out on a tiny keyboard circa your BlackBerry Curve days
Don’t buy it if:
❌ You’re a bigger fan of voice comms than in-game text chat
Price check: Walmart: $29.99
SteelSeries Arctis 7P+| $149.99 $99.99 at Amazon
Save $50 – It’s getting on in years now, but the SteelSeries Arctis 7P headset has never been cheaper in its 3 years on the market. The record-low price makes it a steal this Prime Day if you’re on the hunt for PS5 accessories.
Buy it if:
✅ You want a headset built for your PS5
✅ You’re big on aesthetics – these are a beauty
✅ Clean and clear audio is what you’re after
Don’t buy it if:
❌ You’d prefer wires
Price check: Walmart: $189 (OOS) | Best Buy: $173 (OOS)
Sony-INZONE H3 Wired Gaming Headset| $99.99 $48 at Amazon
Save $51 – This is a new record low for the Sony INZONE H3s, making it one of our favorite PS5 Prime Day deals of the week. If you’re not fussed about the cheaper plastic finish, you can’t get much better value for money when it comes to this headset – especially if you’re looking for a bargain buy sub-$100.
Buy it if:
✅ You want a $100 headset for less than $50 – a new record for this product
✅ You don’t mind the fixed wired aux cable
✅ You want a headset that is compatible with many consoles
Don’t buy it if:
❌ You’re looking for wireless headphones
Price check: Walmart: $48 | Best Buy: $49.99
Razer Wolverine V2 Pro | $249.99 $199.99 at Amazon
Save $50 – We saw this at an even cheaper price at Walmart in recent days, but stock disappeared quickly. For now, this discount still brings it in line with other PS5 pro controllers, and the six extra buttons here makes it very tempting for the money.
Buy it if:
✅ You like a chunkier controller
✅ You’re a fan of microswitch buttons
✅ You need lots of extra buttons
Don’t buy it if:
❌ You want ergonomic back buttons
Price check: Best Buy: $212.99
SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless (PC + Xbox) | $349.99 $272 at Amazon
Save $78 – The SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless is the best headset on the market right now, and it’s just dropped down to a record-low price at Amazon. That’s some seriously impressive stuff, especially considering this is the newer white model. And if you’re in the UK, the price there is very impressive, at what looks like a new historic low.
Buy it if:
✅ You play both PS5 and Xbox
✅ You don’t like having to charge
✅ You like a wider soundstage
Don’t buy it if:
❌ You only play on PS5
Price check: Walmart: $329.95 | Best Buy: $349.99
Samsung 990 Pro 4TB SSD | $464.99 $291.57 at Amazon
Save $173 – 4TB SSDs are usually particularly premium, and even moreso recently when we’ve seen barely any discounts at all. However, Amazon has a fantastic $165 saving on this Samsung 990 Pro model right now. While it has been cheaper in the past (back on Black Friday), this is still the best we’ve seen all year. It’s also a limited time deal, meaning it won’t stick around for very long.
Buy it if:
✅ You want as much storage as possible
✅ You want to future-proof your collection
✅ You’re a PS Plus member
Don’t buy it if:
❌ You don’t want to install your own heatsink
Price check: Best Buy: $300.99 | Newegg: $299.99
Prime Day PS5 deals: FAQ
When will Prime Day PS5 deals start?
Prime Day is set to return for the 10th consecutive year this July. We now know that the event will officially begin on July 16, and run all the way through July 17. That means eager shoppers should be on the look out for deals from, well, now.
(Image credit: Future / Duncan Robertson)
Do you need a Prime membership for Amazon Prime Day’s PS5 deals?
If you’re planning to limit your shopping to just Amazon during Prime Day, having a Prime membership, or taking out a free trial is probably a good plan. It might sound silly since Prime Day is an Amazon event, but other retailers are staying competitive these days, and there are plenty of bargains to be had elsewhere. To be safe, we’d recommend that non-members think about the free trial listed below – just time it right so you can cancel after Prime Day and not pay a dime for access to the exclusive deals.
Get a free 30-day trial of Amazon Prime
You can collect a free trial of Amazon Prime, which – when timed right – will give you access to all the best offers without putting a penny into the subscription. But even if you’re not interested in sticking with it, just go for the trial and then cancel it. Sign up then cancel before the $14.99/£7.99 per month cost kicks in.
What to expect from Prime Day PS5 deals in 2024?
(Image credit: Future / Phil Hayton)
Prime Day PS5 deals can be a great opportunity to claim a new console, some recent games, or some accessories for much cheaper than you would usually. There are now two best times of the year for this kind of shopping, and unless you want to wait for Black Friday sales in November, July is your best bet.
The best-value PlayStation 5 deals normally come in the form of bundles. For example, the God of War Ragnarok PS5 bundle dropped by $50 at Amazon last year, from $559.99 to $509. That means you’re essentially paying $20 for a $70 title, and arguably, one of the best games of the last few years. We’re hoping to see more bundles pop up, especially since Sony doesn’t have any first-party games lined up for this year, and Helldivers 2 has been so popular. Maybe we’ll see some sort of bundle to celebrate that, or for the new slimline machines.
In terms of games, we often see big releases dip below the $30 mark. Again, for this year you’ll be looking at games like Stellar Blade, Tekken 8, and Helldivers 2, but more probably, we’ll see games from the late stages of 2023 dip in price. For those awaiting serious Spider-Man 2 price cuts, if Memorial Day PS5 deals don’t come through for you, July might be calling. The Spider-Man 2 bundle is still going strong, but it remains to be seen how this will last through to the Summer. Amazon will normally be good for these game sales, but keep an eye out for Walmart too.
Accessory deals are a guarantee, and since the best SSDs for PS5 have been up in price this year so far, we’re hoping for big things from July’s sale. If we can grab 1TB drives for around $60 again, we’ll be happy. The best PS5 controllers have gone a bit quiet this year, so with the best gamepads for the platform beginning to age, let’s hope we see some nice discounts. Let’s all pray to Shuhei that we get our first DualSense Edge discount because that’s long overdue.
Another thing to keep watch for is PlayStation’s other hardware. With PC support for PSVR 2 confirmed to drop sometime this year, it’ll be the perfect time to invest in Sony’s second visor. Hopefully, we see some price drops, but what we’re really longing for is a new bundle and some new big games. Similarly, the PlayStation Portal is still a hot ticket item, so we could see some bargains for that, or maybe some sort of bundle with the console itself. All remains to be seen, but there’s definitely potential for July to have some good bargains for PS5 gamers.
Here’s a closer look at our strongest bets for games and accessories that will go on offer during Prime Day PS5 deals.
