Next Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch Will Fix A Major Co-op Complaint
The next big Baldur’s Gate 3 patch is arriving in September. With it comes a big quality-of-life change for split-screen play, extended evil endings, the game’s modding toolkit, and a number of bug fixes. You can even register on the game’s Steam page to try out the patch ahead of time.
The patch will add an option for split-screen co-op where the split-screen will merge if both characters are in the same area. This will perhaps save you some visual headaches and confusion in battle sequences or elsewhere. You can toggle the option directly in the main HUD or within the game settings.
As previously teased, the patch will add some extensive evil-ending cinematics, including new ones for Origin Characters and The Dark Urge. The new teaser GIFs show the player-character lounging lazily, surrounded by corpses and levitating above an army which stomps their spears in unison. The Honour Mode difficulty will also see some improvements. More creatures will get legendary actions, making a number of the game’s bosses and encounters even more fiendish.
