Kevin Conroy’s Final Batman Performance Gets A Perfect Exit Line
Actor Kevin Conroy passed away in 2022, ending his three-decade stint as the definitive voice of Batman. From Batman: The Animated Series and its spin-offs, to animated features and video games, Conroy’s take on the Dark Knight was a fan-favorite. Unfortunately, fans felt that Conroy’s Batman wasn’t given his due in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. But now, Conroy’s iconic hero has been given the sendoff that he deserves.
Via Games Radar, Conroy’s final performance as Batman is in Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths – Part Three, the newly released film from Warner Bros. Animation. While his Batman doesn’t have a big role in the movie, there is a scene set in Gotham City on his Earth where he faces the end of the world alongside his nemesis, the Joker. And if these had to be Conroy’s last words as Batman, then this is the perfect way for him to leave the character that he redefined for a generation.
This is a much better way to End Conroy’s performance as Batman. I loved the dialogue here, I miss Kevin so much 💔 pic.twitter.com/2qpd15eVGQ

Fittingly, Conroy’s long-time Joker, Mark Hamill, also lent his voice to the scene. Hamill’s take on the Joker has often appeared opposite Conroy’s Dark Knight, including the Batman: Arkham trilogy. However, Hamill has indicated that he is now retired from playing the Joker because he doesn’t want to perform for any other Batman than Conroy’s.
