Apex Legends Will Now Have Two Battle Passes Per Season, Says Respawn
Apex Legends‘ seasonal battle pass is undergoing a major rework prior to Season 22’s launch. In fact, it’s not fully accurate to call it one single battle pass, as Respawn has just announced that starting next season, every season will include two battle passes: one that becomes available upon the season’s launch, and one that becomes available during the middle of the season, at the same time as the seasonal Ranked Mode split.
The announcement was made via a post on the official Apex Legends Twitter account, and was accompanied by an infographic explaining the multitude of changes to the game’s long-standing battle pass system.
Starting with Season 22, we’re evolving the Apex Legends Battle Pass to improve your experience and progression goals.

Previously, each season included a singular, 110-level battle pass that players had an entire three-month season to complete. The battle pass had a free tier, a premium tier available for 950 Apex Coins ($9.50 USD), and a “premium plus” tier that gave those willing to pay 2,800 AC ($28 USD) a helpful boost, unlocking the first 25 levels of the battle pass instantly.
