Netflix Opening Two Massive Experiential Stores To Sell Shirts And Make You Play Squid Game

Netflix has announced bold plans to expand its footprint beyond streaming. The Netflix House, as it’s called, is a new “experiential entertainment venue” themed around Netflix’s shows and movies. Unlike Netflix’s previous pop-up shops, Netflix is calling this one “permanent” and noting that it will be open year-round. The first two locations are the sprawling King of Prussia shopping center in Pennsylvania and the Galleria Dallas in Texas. Both are set to open their doors in 2025.

The Netflix House locations will offer food, games, and merch themed around Netflix’s content. The experiences will rotate throughout the year. Some of Netflix’s current real-life experiences include the Stranger Things stage play, live lectures with the producers of the Our Planet series, a “Queen’s Ball” where you can dress up in outfits from Bridgerton, another Bridgerton-themed experience where you can drink tea, an Army of the Dead survival game, and dinner experience themed around Knives Out, among other things.

“Imagine waltzing with your partner to an orchestral cover of a Taylor Swift song on a replica of the Bridgerton set–and then walking around the corner to compete in the Glass Bridge challenge from Squid Game,” Netflix said. “After pretending to fight for your life, you’ve worked up an appetite and want to get a bite. You see a nearby restaurant with food inspired by Netflix shows from around the world; the meal is memorable, but you still want to buy someStranger Things merch. Luckily, there’s a shop that sells that Hellfire Club T-shirt you’ve always wanted.”
