But with the full-scale Targaryen civil war in House of the Dragon Season 2, a pair of key locations made their return in the season premiere. The Season 2 premiere doesn’t waste any time before bringing fans back to the North for a glimpse of Winterfell and a look beyond the Wall with the Night’s Watch. Fittingly, the episode was directed by Alan Taylor, who helmed several memorable episodes of the original series. Season 2 marks a return to the franchise for Taylor, and he noted that being back at The Wall felt like coming home.
