One Of WoW’s Most Iconic Legendary Weapons Is Getting An Overhaul In Season Of Discovery
World of Warcraft Classic: Season of Discovery is bringing big changes to the endgame of Blizzard’s old-school MMORPG, and that includes making one of the game’s most iconic Legendary weapons stronger than ever.
Blizzard has revealed new details about Season of Discovery’s endgame content phase, and a public test realm build with a sweeping number of class changes and item changes for players to test out recently went live. Players, of course, have wasted no time datamining the PTR build to see what else can be discovered, and as pointed out by Wowhead, it seems like one highly-sought after item in particular, Sulfuras, Hands of Ragnaros, will be even more desired than usual.
Sulfuras is an iconic weapon. It’s the first Legendary item players were able to obtain in the original version of WoW, a massive two-handed mace wielded by the Ragnaros the Firehold himself that can hurl fireballs at opponents. It also requires a significant amount of time and gold in order to craft. While the weapon was good originally, there were still better options out there for some classes, despite Sulfuras being a Legendary.
