This Legendary Game Dev Promises To “Cook” For Switch 2

Game developer Goichi Suda, who is also known as Suda51, has promised that his studio will work on games for the Switch successor. Speaking to VGC, Suda51 said he has “no idea” what the next Nintendo console will look like, but is excited to see what it turns out to be.

He went on to say that the Switch, which launched in 2017, is a great “all-around” platform and that he struggles to think of anything about the console that isn’t “good enough.” As such, he wasn’t able to pin down any one specific thing he hopes the next Nintendo console delivers, but in any case, he’s promised that his team will show up to develop for it.

“I don’t have anything in particular that I can think of as far as new features I want to see in the next-gen iteration of it are concerned, but I’m really looking forward to seeing what Nintendo does with it. They’ve always done revolutionary stuff for software and the video game industry in general. I’m super excited for the next console, especially since we’re definitely gonna cook for it.”
