Blumhouse Is Going All In On Horror Games, Including One From Sam Barlow And Brandon Cronenberg

Blumhouse Games had its own sizzle trailer during Summer Game Fest, announcing its involvement in six upcoming horror games, including one of the next projects from Sam Barlow and Half Mermaid. The final announcement in the trailer was for Project C, coming from Sam Barlow and Half Mermaid, who are working with Brandon Cronenberg, son of David Cronenberg and a horror filmmaker.

The teaser didn’t include any gameplay from Project C, but it did include gameplay for five other titles. First was Crisol Theater of Idols, a first-person horror game featuring life-sized dolls and other monstrosities. After that was Grave Seasons, a pixel-art farming sim with horror elements. Third was Sleep Awake, a first-person horror title in a sci-fi setting.

Fear the Spotlight was shown fourth. It’s a third-person retro horror game, featuring plenty of puzzles and surreal scares. The Simulation was the final announcement before the Project C reveal, which is a first-person horror game where you play a video game developer exploring a creepy game via a VR headset.
