Toy Soldier Game Hypercharge Sells 50,000 Copies, Dev Releases Tear-Filled Thank-You Video

Following its debut on Steam in 2020, the Toy Story-like toy soldier game Hypercharge: Unboxed launched recently on Xbox and it had a massive debut. The game, which was made by a small team of only six people, sold more than 50,000 copies in its first six days.

One of the developers released an emotional, tear-filled video in which they spoke about the “unbelievable” response to the game so far. “This really is a dream come true. We’re developers but we are humans behind the screen as well. Thank you to everyone who has played the game,” Joe Henson of developer Digital Cybercherries said.

Xbox president Sarah Bond responded to the success of Hypercharge, writing to the developer, “Congrats on an awesome launch!”
