Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II Stream “Journey Of The Mind” Promises A Peek Into The Game’s Research Process
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II developers Ninja Theory have announced a livestream entitled Journey of the Mind, highlighting the game’s consultation and research process.
The stream will start on 9 ET / 6 PT, Tuesday April 9. You can watch it on the official Xbox channels on Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook. It will explore Ninja Theory’s partnership with University of Cambridge professor Paul Fletcher and the developer’s collaboration with RCE Wellbeing Hub (formerly Recovery College East).
Through these cooperative efforts, Ninja Theory consulted both with experts who treat psychosis and patients with lived experience. Studio Head Don Matthews wrote in an Xbox blog post that, “Just as we did in Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice we have once again worked closely with our expert partners to bring Senua’s experience to life in a truthful way.” The original game received both widespread praise and pointed criticism for its depiction of psychosis.
