New Version Of The Office Gets An Exciting Update, But Full-Blown Reunion Is Reportedly “Out Of The Question”
The Office, one of the most iconic and beloved American TV shows, is reportedly getting a follow-up series, and now a major piece of news about it has emerged. Deadline reports that Michael Koman, the co-creator of Nathan For You, is the “leading creative voice” in the writers room that Greg Daniels opened this year to explore ideas for a potential new series.
If the series moves ahead, Koman could be the co-creator. Importantly, nothing is official here. A potential new series would not be a reboot of The Office. Instead, it’s believed it could follow a similar mockumentary-style approach that documents the life and careers of different people.
Intriguingly, though, reports have suggested the new series would take place within the same universe as the original Office, which could make cameos from popular characters possible. Fans have been holding out hope for some kind of Office reunion of sorts featuring the main cast, but Deadline’s sources said this is “out of the question.”
