The TV take on the military SF videogame franchise returns to Paramount+ soon for a second season. We speak to star Pablo Schreiber (who’s not best pleased with some of the choices made on season one) and executive producer Kiki Wolfkill (who’s promising a grittier, darker second run).

A live-action version of the ‘00s animated series set in a world where some can telekinetically manipulate the four elements is on its way from Netflix. We speak to showrunner Albert Kim, who does his best to reassure fans that it won’t disappoint, despite a parting of the ways with the creators of the original show.

Domino Day

A young witch who can feed off the energy of others – an ability which attracts the attention of a coven – is the titular protagonist of new BBC Three series Domino Day. We take a trip to rainy old Manchester to visit the set.

The animated series Masters of the Universe: Revelation controversially sidelined He-Man. But don’t worry, He-fans – the musclebound hero is front and centre again for five-part follow-up Revolution. We talk to showrunner Kevin Smith, He-Man voice artist Chris Wood and Netflix high-up Ted Biaselli.

This issue, producer Joel Collins tells us about his work on Ncuti Gatwa’s adventures; we also interview Michelle Greenidge (aka Ruby Sunday’s foster mum Carla), and chat to the team who colourised classic 1963 story “The Daleks” for iPlayer.

The Winter King

We also talk Titans with the VFX supervisor of Monsterverse show Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. And our latest retrospective feature has a similar theme, as we look back at Steven Spielberg classic Close Encounters of the Third Kind in the company of production designer Joe Alves.

Plus we profile on-the-ascendant novelist Saara El-Arifi, and get horror writer Grady Hendrix to fill out our author questionnaire.
