The Last Case of Benedict Fox Comes To PS5 This Month With Some Big Upgrades
One of the more intriguing games of 2023, The Last Case of Benedict Fox, will be released for PS5 on March 26. Originally available on Xbox and PC, the metroidvania will launch with new combat arenas, quests, and puzzles as part of the definitive-edition release.
Xbox and PC owners of the game will also receive these major updates when the game is upgraded on those platforms. Developer Plot Twist says that this version of The Last Case of Benedict Fox also includes overhauled combat, traversal changes, and an accelerated pace to speed up combat. The studio added that players will see improved and adjusted animations to match the enhanced visuals and combat, and several gameplay-important items are being put onto the main path rather than being put out of view.
“The team at Plot Twist has been hard at work updating The Last Case of Benedict Fox to incorporate the feedback of our passionate community and better realize our original vision for the game,” Plot Twist CEO Pawel Czapla said in a press statement. “Now, we’re ready to introduce this thrilling metroidvania title to a whole new group of players on PS5, while bringing our community on Xbox and PC the updates they’ve been patiently waiting for.”
