These Discounted Batman Omnibuses Could Double As Doorstoppers
The only thing better than a fresh Batman graphic novel is a Batman graphic novel that’s roughly the size of a phonebook, and this deal from Amazon checks both of those boxes. Drawn by Greg Capullo and written by Scott Snyder, this particular run refreshed Batman for a new age, rebooting the character with a new status quo, stories to tell, and enemies to battle. Capullo and Snyder’s run is notable for introducing the Court of Owls to the DC Universe–an insidious group of ultra-wealthy elites ruling Gotham from the shadows–and other storylines here include City of Owls, Death of the Family, and the incredible Zero Year. These comics include some great takes on familiar villains as well, with the Joker being resurrected as a nightmarish nemesis who pushes the Dark Knight to his limits and beyond. At over 1,000 pages in size, this is a lot of reading material.
